| I am so tired. I stayed up too late reading and when my husband left for work at 4 am I read again. By the way, if theres any Jan Karon fans out there in xangaland , her latest book 'Home to Holly Springs' is a really good read. Better than previous books,I thought. Anyway, who am I kidding, who reads my site really???!? oh well, today I am thankful for fall weather, healthy kiddos, a husband who loves me even though he dosn't always 'get' me and my many moods : )hot coffee, the smell of popcorn, good friends, a good book now and then ,a loving and merciful Saviour, and chocolate And not necessarily in that order. ok, I'm off to get everbody fed and ready for church. | | |
| ok, I'm still here. I havn't had anything particularly brilliant to write ( ha !) hence the long silence. I have , however, been reading my subs and quietly stalking some of my favorite sites So if you've seen my footprints and no comments from me , please forgive. Is it horrid etiquette to visit sites and not comment ? and what about responding to everyone who comments you ? just some things I was wondering about. School has started again for my little darlings, they are so excited. I figure that will last a week or so till they get used to schedules again. Livvy will be going to preschool this year so I will have an empty house part of the time .I have rather mixed feelings about that. To be honest, some time alone does sound rather attractive, on the other hand it also means they are growing up. Sometimes I wish I could squash all four of them in a little box and keep them all the same ages they are now! this November we will officially have a teenager ( although teenage angst has long since already kicked in ) It is kind of fun to exprience how your relationship changes as you kids get older.I can say that now after butting heads with my oldest for awhile--- her wanting more independence and me not wanting to let her go. Now that I've quit rebelling : ) things have been better. Not to say there havn't been a few issues, but from talking to more experienced mothers than myself it all sounds perfectly normal. Sigh. So many new things to learn all the time. ok , I kind of feel like I'm rambling on and on and it's time for bed. I 've been having too much fun exploring my new set up and connection on our computor ( thanks to Josh and his amazing techie skills ) BYE !! | | |
| Ahhh, what a wonderful time of year !! It's such an exhilarating time of year, makes me want to take on the world! Well.... my little corner of it, anyway My kiddos have been enjoying it too, riding bikes, the 4-wheeler , scooters, NO MORE WINTER COATS (yay!) Also can't wait to get my hands dirty in my flower beds. Our last winter storm was't too bad- about 8 inches. Some friends of ours from church came over the day of the storm and then spent the night. It was fun, the chidren and dads went sledding while the moms vegged inside with coffee. But now... my daffodils are blooming, the grass is turning green AND I heard the peepers! I know, I know, I'm going on and on about something as mundane as the weather .. BUT I was sooo ready for this!! \Now, I'm off to take on the day! | | |
